SDS MOLLE 2 FLC vest

Ok so this is an on going review and also questions I would like to be answered.
first off I picked up the vest from Bossert's Military Surplus, Its a Woodland base w/ OD green mesh and PALS.
Its looks and feels unissued, no visible damage, missing parts, frayed stitching or faded colors. Buckled front no zipper.
I've loaded it up with
3 single Eagle M4 x2 pouches OD
Eagle MBITR pouch to hold my Icom OD
a BlackHawk vertical GP pouch OD
2 single Eagle M9 mag pouches OD
a Condor tear away Medical pouch OD (stocked with basic first aid stuff)
a Condor "i pouch" that holds my cellphone for an emergency. and a small(really small) spray bottle of deet on the outside.
My only problem so far is my fairly thin size (5' 11'' 165lb) running the vest by itself causes the drag strap to sit right on the top of my back and put pressure on my spine. Now before anyone says I need to distribute the weight evenly(which it is for the most part) I thought I would ask anyone who has worn one before if there is any way to keep the drag strap off my upper back. I've already adjusted the straps on the back but because the Belt is already pulled in as far as it goes and it still does not sit firmly on my waist i figure that shortening straps anymore would just cause the back of the padded belt to ride up my back causing the drag strap to dig in to my back even more.

I wear both the Molle Gen 2 occasionally and Gen 3 FLC's frequently.
They were designed to be worn over an OTV and was not meant to be used as a stand alone vest. They are used that way all the time, but it doesn't have padded shoulders and it can really drag you down if you overload it. Especially the buckle front Gen 2's.
You are carrying more or less the basic infantry load, so loading isn't the problem. You should look into getting the Gen 3 vest with zippered front. It has a much better fit across the front and doesn't seem to move around as much when you run as the Gen 2's.
The G2 is easier to get on and off when wearing an OTV, but that isn't a concern for you. You can find the G3's for about the same money and I think you will be happier with it. I have them in several different colors and use them as my warm weather load bearing gear when I'm not wearing armor.
